So many of us have been taught to not talk about how we feel or even shamed for saying how we feel.
So many of us have been told we are "too emotional" or have been given a message that there are some things we don't talk about.
Some of us have even been told to "stop crying" or to "man up"; giving us a message that there is something weak in feeling or expressing our emotions.
So many of us have bought into the stigma that you are not strong if you seek counseling. That you have to be "crazy" to justify counseling.
All of these messages are wrong. It takes strength to feel and it takes courage to talk about what it feels like to be you.
What questions do you have about the counseling process? What stigmas about counseling are you buying into?
