So someone shared a post from a therapist with a bunch of tips about how to survive quarantine. Well, one was to make a #quarantine#selfcare#emergencykit. He suggested trying to include the senses. I loved that idea and put one together. It contains:
*A Jason Vorhees #plush toy for holding and cuddling.
*A mini book of #puzzles to occupy the mind when I need a break. *Two trade paperback books, one each in my favorite genres: #Horror and #CozyMystery. (Both have a seaside escape asthetic as well. Bonus.)
*a miniature deck of cards. Great for a game of #solitaire but also very tactile and they make nice noises when shuffled. *A D20. Fun to roll. Also tactile. Good for fidgeting. *Mint #chapstick for the smell and taste (and keeping soft lucious lips)
*A relaxing and soothing #essentialoil roller.
*and little #ginger hard candies for the taste and tactile feel of them.
