First time making bagels and super happy with how they turned out! Even if you’ve always said you can’t bake, what’s stopping you from trying now? But surprisingly they were super simple, easy, and absolutely delicious! I’ve had a lot more time to bake, especially new things that seem intimidating. I will definitely be making these ALL the time in my household.
🔸14g Fresh yeast or 7g of dry yeast
🔸7g Malt syrup (I used honey)
🔸270g Cold water
🔸465g Strong white bread flour
🔸7g Fine sea salt
🔸60g Sugar for water
🔸Egg white for brushing
🔸Any preceded seasoning for topping
Make sure to poach the bagels in water before baking! But don’t let it intimidate you! You’ve got this. 💪🏼 I got this recipe from @breadaheadbakery!
